Telstra in software dispute

Dispute threat to fast net roll-out (news.com.au). It seems the license for the software Telstra are using to track cables in the ground is due to expire at the end of May. The company which makes the software, Spatialinfo, has increased the licensing costs for it significantly, which Telstra feels is unfair (irony++). Without this software in place Telstra will have a really had time operating their fixed line network. The matter will be heard by the Victorian Supreme Court tomorrow.
