I recently finished my book, Battle Born by Dale Brown. While it did keep me from falling asleep on the train, for the most part it was pretty average. One strange thing about it was that several times it would go into quite a lot of detail to set something up and then not make any use of this. A good example of this was some guys who were getting set up for a missile launch, and then the story went to some other characters and never returned to the missile launch guys except in passing.

I am about to start on a new book, which will be appearing on the left at a later date.

Telstra customers launch class action.

It had to happen sooner or later I guess. Telstra’s ADSL network is really bad, and consumers aren’t going to put up with such a poor level of service for the price Telstra are charging for the product.

I would say that perhaps this will encourage Telstra to improve their service levels, but we all know they won’t.

A guy in the UK had been riding his bicycle to work for some time, when one day he found a sign on the fence he chains his bike to telling him “Bicycles found parked against or chained to these railings will be removed without further notice”. Not wanting to waste a good fence, the self proclaimed “Fencemaster” decided to see what else he could chain up there.

Wired article on the story.
