If you hate the ‘product’ of the popstars tv show (otherwise known as Bardot) as much as I do, you may be interested to know that similar series are underway in other countries (scary). This article is by an entertainment writer in London who is watching the series there and preparing for the worst.

Back to reality though.. It seems the Australian Government has purchased AUNIC from Geoff Huston. They have paid $20,000 for the database which contains records for all sorts of domain name and ip registrations. Their next step will be to try and get control of .au from Robert Elz. I wouldn’t hold my breath for this one.
I’m not sure what the government intends to do with AUNIC. With their current track record on all things internet I wouldn’t be suprised if they stuff the system up completely and introduce a ton of red tape to get anything done. After all, they gave exclusive control of a public assett (.com.au) to MelbourneIT, giving them the opportunity to make millions, which the taxpayer has missed our on any sort of benifit from the sale of Australian domain names.

Damn Liberal morons.
