This morning I found out that American Express have approved my gold card.

Woohoo!

Some folks are trying to bring back the gopher:// protocol. I don’t think I’ll be joining their efforts though; gopher’s day has passed.

The world is full of questions, they fill me with fear

But one question troubles me

What nationality is Les Murray?
Wherefore hails his ancestry?
Whom does he call the mother country
When he phones home through OTC?

A few quick humorous items since I haven’t done any for a while.

Firstly, some stupid coke tricks, and also some stuff you won’t see in the newspaper every day.

Today I have something nice to say about the tax department.

Exactly 2 weeks ago today I submitted my tax return over the net. The fact that I am able to do this on the net is a blessing in itself, but to add to that, my refund is already in my bank account!

I must say it has been an outstanding effort on their part to return my money to me so quickly. Unless they are planning to audit me, in which case I will reinstate previous comments which have been far less than friendly, but accurate none the less.

And so it begins… Computer controlled combat.

Not that saving human lives is a bad thing, but it brings us one step closer to the whole sci-fi robots taking over the world scenario. The US military have been using ‘radio controlled’ unmanned aircraft for intel gathering for quite a while, but I believe this is the first one to have some brains of its own.

Computerised warfare is becoming closer to reality every day. Especially with the recent conflict of a religious nature which is seeing web sites hacked or flooded on a daily basis.

The world really needs to chill our some more.. perhaps go skiing.. or maybe not.
