The next version of the Sims sounds intresting - online Sims! It says in the interview they’re expecting to be able to get 50,000-100,000 players online. I wonder how many toombstones you could collect in your back yard…
Just so you know, the image below isn’t live, I just happened to catch an internal test-pattern screen at the end of a Beach Volleyball game and thought I’d capture it since its not often you see that sort of things these days.
The games are going well so far. Australia has 3 gold, and is coming second in the overall medal tally behind the USA. If you haven’t checked it out already, go have a look at Olympics.com where IBM have done some great work creating live scoreboards for most of the events which you can leave sitting around on your computer to keep track of the events in progress. They even have a little webcam window so you can see whats happening.
